I loves me some nail polish. My favorite brand would have to be OPI. They started the love affair which continues today. Here are my favorite colors from them! Prepare for lots of sparkle and shimmer.

My Summer Drugstore Lip Picks!
Summer isn't officially here yet, according to the calendar, but here in sunny San Diego it's been in the 70s
for at least a month. I, like many, tend to brighten things up when weather gets warmer. I guess when you live somewhere where the coldest it gets is about 55 degrees, warmer is a relative term but let's just go with it. I picked my top 10 summer lipstick choices available at the drugstore and included swatches at the bottom! They are not in order of my personal preference. They're in order of how I swatched them. Also, I am playing with new lighting and am not completely happy with it yet, so I apologize for that! On to the picks!

My Current Obsessions! 5/25 - 5/31
CoverGirl Clump Crusher Mascara - Okay, so, I'm totally late to the party on this one but I just got my first tube of this mascara. It is awesome for those of you who, like me, don't like the super voluminized, practically clumpy look. I prefer definition and length to volume. This mascara gives a perfect, fanned out look to the lashes. 2 coats gets me a nice everyday look.
E.L.F. Flawless Concealer Brush - I just got this last week and have used it every day since. It's great for blending your concealer out and doesn't leave things looking cakey.
Smashbox Wondervision Palette - I've used this the entire week. Sadly, it was a holiday palette that's probably only available on eBay now but it is soooo good. I have been digging a darker eye this week and the black is super pigmented. I also really like the blushes that are in it and use Baby Pink when I have a darker eye because it's pretty and subtle.

Top Tens! - Eyeliners
Well, let me start by saying that I am not much of a liquid/gel/cream liner girl. I have hooded eyes that don't allow for any cat flicks so I don't really use those types of liners often. Also, all of the first 4 on this list are about equal. It was REALLY hard to put those 4 in any sort of order.

Tag Tuesday: The Perfect Palette Tag!
We all know the ever popular Perfect Palette Tag that's been floating around on YouTube for a while now, right? If not, the gist is there are 10 questions and you choose your favorite palette for each category.
These are the questions:
1. Best Packaging
2. Best Color Payoff
3. Most Versatile
4. Best for Traveling
5. Biggest Regret
6. Best Color Names
7. Least Used
8. Most Used
9. Most Loved
10. Desert Island
Without any further ado, here are my picks!
1. Best Packaging
It has to be the Urban Decay Vice 2 palette. It's very sturdy marbled purple plastic (say that 5 times fast) with a big, gorgeous crystal logo. What more could you ask for? An awesome button you press so the palette opens itself up revealing a huge mirror and 20 beautiful eye shadows for your use? Oh yeah, it's got that too.

My Thoughts On: Too Faced Lash Injection Mascara
Too Faced Lash Injection described as an "extreme volume tubing mascara." It is definitely that but it does not do it right. It has a traditional wand that is big but not huge. The mascara has a tendency of pooling at the tip of the wand, which makes it very messy if you don't clean that part off. It is very black and the formula has almost a vinyl look when you're applying it.
Okay, I'm going to be blunt here. I HATED this mascara. No exaggeration. There is not a good thing I can say about it. First off, it is so messy! I wiped the brush along the sides of the tube and still managed to get mascara all over my eye every time I used it. It had the weirdest finish of any mascara I've every tried. It made them look crispy, like I had put black paste on my lashes or something. When I touched them they felt tacky. It was strange.
Applying it was not easy either. You REALLY have to be diligent about combing out your lashes between coats. The first time I applied this mascara I didn't and I had to remove the mascara because it clumped so bad. I had about 3 giant spider lashes. The maximum number of coats I could put on, even with combing, was 3. Any more than that and it was clump city. Word to the wise, DO NOT try to comb your lashes out once the mascara has set. If you do, you may very well lose some lashes (as I found out the hard way.)
The one good thing I can say about Lash Injection is that, being a tubing mascara, removing it is really easy. All you have to do hold a wipe against your eye, or some makeup remover, and the mascara comes off in strings. It kind of looks like eyelash glue when you remove it.
