Tag Tuesday: The Perfect Palette Tag!

We all know the ever popular Perfect Palette Tag that's been floating around on YouTube for a while now, right? If not, the gist is there are 10 questions and you choose your favorite palette for each category.

These are the questions:
1.   Best Packaging
2.   Best Color Payoff
3.   Most Versatile
4.   Best for Traveling
5.   Biggest Regret
6.   Best Color Names
7.   Least Used
8.   Most Used
9.   Most Loved
10. Desert Island

Without any further ado, here are my picks!

1. Best Packaging

It has to be the Urban Decay Vice 2 palette. It's very sturdy marbled purple plastic (say that 5 times fast) with a big, gorgeous crystal logo. What more could you ask for? An awesome button you press so the palette opens itself up revealing a huge mirror and 20 beautiful eye shadows for your use? Oh yeah, it's got that too.

2. Best Color Payoff

The Smashbox Wondervision Mega Palette. Every single one is SO pigmented. So pigmented, you almost have to be careful in some cases. But they are gorgeous.

3. Most Versatile

The Lorac Pro palette. You can create SO many looks with this one. There are 8 matte shades and 8 shimmery shades. There is a rust shade, some purple tones, and a grey, in addition to all the neutral colors. You can mix and blend to your heart's content and get everything from a barely there day look to a super smoky night look.

4. Best for Traveling

Depotted into a MAC palette

The Tarte Gorgeous Getaways Palette(s). I like the Tarte option because it has 4 different pans, each with 4 shadows and an Amazonian clay blush. It included a small gold on-the-go palette you can pop the tray you want to use in to. For a weekend trip, you can pick a tray, pop it in the palette and you're good to go. You've got your shadows and a blush for 2 days. If you want more options you can do what I did and put the 4 trays in a double sided MAC palette (or any other magnetic palette they would fit in) and now you have 16 shadows and 4 blushes to choose from. Basically, it's great cause you can customize how many trays you want to take

5. Biggest Regret

The Tarte Carried Away Collectors Set from 2012. I want to love it, I really do. I look at it and the colors are all so lovely. But something about the shadows in this one just don't work for me. I put the colors where I want them and they look fantastic. Then I get a brush and try to blend them a little and it's like, "Wait, where'd those pretty colors go?" Everything sheers out or blends together and I just never get the result I really want.

6. Best Color Names

Yup, I wrote the shade names on!

Any palette by Too Faced. They have such cute names! I guess the favorite would be the Chocolate Bar palette. Shadows that are named after (not to mention smell like) desserts? Heck yes!

7. Least Used

The aforementioned Tarte Carried Away palette. :(

8. Most Used

Probably the Sonia Kashuk Eye on Neutral palette. It has 10 matte neutral shades and I grab it a lot when I need a matte highlight or crease color. They're not the most pigmented but they work for what I need it for. I also use it to fill in my brows and on occasion, to contour my face.

9. Most Loved & 10. Desert Island

Definitely the A Few of My Favorite Things palette by Too Faced. It's so good! I had to drive 45 minutes to the closest Sephora to get this and I'm SO glad I did! I love the shadows, the blushes are beautiful, and my favorite bronzer is included as well! There is an array of beautiful neutrals, including some great matte crease colors, some bright pops of color, and some deep smoky tones. The only way I could love this palette more is if it weren't limited edition!

Well, that's all of the questions but I'm going to add one more!

11. Most Wanted

My most wanted palette is the Too Faced Pretty Rebel palette! I have been lusting after this since it came out and I honestly don't know why I haven't bought it yet!
